BIOGRAPHY

Vili Polajnar (born 1998) is a composer currently studying at the University of Music in Basel (Switzerland), in the class of the German composer Johannes Kreidler. He began his musical journey at the Škofja Loka Elementary School, majoring in piano (Prof. Tilen Draksler). He continued his education at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana in 2017, graduating in composition and music theory with prof. Vito Žuraj. He was also invited to the Frederic Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (Poland), where he studied for two semesters under the mentorship of prof. Sławomir Wojciechowski (major electronic music). Moreover, he advanced his skills with professors such as: Caspar Johannes Walter, Michel Roth, Svetlana Maraš, Miłosz Bembinow, Marko Mihevc, Krzysztof Baculewski and Miroslav Srnka.

As a composer, he regularly collaborates with orchestras, choirs, chamber ensembles and soloists.
